Since 2005 I have found myself behind the lens of a camera, owning and operating Captured Moments
Photography. This journey began with the birth of my son and a department store disappointment. The digital age was still new (yes this makes me old) but I was eager to capture my little guy on my own.
Through the years I have had the privilege of capturing memories to keep for hundreds of clients. To offer each of them a creative glimpse of the beauty, the interaction, and the heart of what I see. What I offer is the chance to freeze time. There are so many things about my children that I wish I had documented and I tend to shoot with that perspective in mind. I envision the finished image on your wall, in a frame or as a keepsake.
After 10 years in the business I had an opportunity to return to my first love…teaching. This opportunity was one I felt called to and has been a rich blessing in my life. The Lord has utilized all my gifts in one occupation. I currently teach High School history and photojournalism at Fresno Christian Schools. Stepping into the journalism world has been an exciting new challenge. FCS has an award winning top 10 nationally ranked high school online newspaper – The Feather. Partnering with my old English teacher, he and I advise a group of students in this fast paced world of publications. Keeps me on my toes. My design eye and marketing skills have also been put to good use as I have helped to re-brand the school and design two new school websites. So thankful for the opportunities to grow creatively.
As I look forward to the next ten years I hope to continuing investing in the lives of others through both my teaching and my photography. This new website is designed to be a resource as well as showcase my work, my adventures, and mostly a place to just be me. Thank you for taking the time to catch up with me. I look forward to the road ahead and this next chapter of Captured Moments Photography.
